This 'bell' shaped tankard has a generous 2 pint capacity up to the line of the handle-ledge. It has a pulled handle with thumb-rest and a rounded bottom that sits comfortably in the palm of your hand.
The tankard is glazed on the inside and down to the handle-ledge with a soft 'eggshell' finish glaze made using beech ash (plus felspar and ball clay). The outer glaze uses oak ash (plus granites, china clay, ball clay and a small amount of iron to give the rich olive colour).
